We aim to provide musical performances at hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities to enrich the patient healing experience.
The Beginning
We started with a simple question: how can we improve the often painful and arduous experience for patients facing prolonged hospital stays? Across history and cultures, music has been linked with healing, and recent studies have shown that it can have transformative neurological and psychological effects as well. Starting with an orchestral solo performance on August 14, 2017 at Scottish Rite Hospital, Souls in Harmony (called Music for Healing at the time) was born.
“Sharing music with patients and caregivers, and seeing the joy it brings them, gives me powerful motivation to keep improving as a musician and performer.”
— RISHI Mohan, Co-Founder, VIolist
“We create spaces where patients and volunteers can come together to escape their routines and appreciate the gift of music.”
— Rachit Mohan, Co-Founder
Our Mission
Started in the founders’ hometown of Dallas, Texas, Souls in Harmony invites talented volunteer musicians to become participants in the healthcare process by sharing their gifts with partnered Dallas-area hospitals, clinics, and medical institutions. We are growing, and we hope to establish a nationwide footprint comprised of volunteer performance groups partnered with hospitals to provide musical healing.
